Fire Containment (Portable Electronic Devices)

We provide custom testing for Fire Containment Kits used to protect against Lithium-Ion fires from portable electronic devices (PEDs). Typically, devices are forced into thermal runaway using a torch or heating pad. Once the device is in thermal runaway, it is inserted into the containment kit. As there is no official test standard for these containment products, the test method used will be developed and agreed upon in conjunction with each customer.
