FAA Fire Safety Research Archive

The FAA Fire Safety website (fire.tc.faa.gov), the online home of the Fire Safety Branch at the William J. Hughes Technical Center, went offline in 2025. Aeroblaze Laboratory hosts an unofficial archive of that site so the aviation community can keep using its technical reports, the Aircraft Materials Fire Test Handbook, and meeting presentations from the International Aircraft Materials Fire Test Forum and Systems Fire Protection working groups.

The archive holds over a thousand DOT/FAA technical reports, the Aircraft Materials Fire Test Handbook (including Appendix F test methods for 14 CFR 25.853, 25.855, and 25.856), working-group meeting presentations and minutes, international conference proceedings, and training videos. Content is preserved as originally published by the FAA and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FAA. For current, authoritative material, consult the FAA Dynamic Regulatory System (DRS).
